Hunter Education Boater Education View Boating Classes View Hunter Education Classes Hunter/Boater Ed Card Mississippi Boating Safety Internet Course Mississippi Hunter Education Internet Course Education Services The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Hunter Education and Boat Education programs exist to help provide safety to persons wishing to hunt and operate a boat. In Mississippi, all persons born on or after January 1, 1972 are required to complete a ten hour hunter education course before purchasing a hunting license. Effective July 1, 1997 any person born after June 30, 1980 must complete a six hour boating education course before operating a boat.
