Covering All of Mississippi
The Bureau of Mississippi Outdoors/Media
serves as a link between the MDWF&P and the media, general
public and other governmental agencies using various avenues
of information dissemination. Four subdivisions of the Bureau
are coordination, television production, magazine publishing
and printing. The Mississippi Outdoors television
show is the most popular and widely watched program on the Mississippi
Educational TV Network.The show is aired twice weekly statewide.
The Mississippi Outdoors magazine is produced bi-monthly
and is considered one of the best wildlife agency magazines
in the United States. The magazine is distributed coast-to-coast
to over 33 thousand paid subscribers.The effect of these outlets
continually informs the public of the many hunting , fishing,
boating/hunter education programs and state park recreational
opportunities, as well as the technical services offered by
the MDWF&P regarding regulations governing the use of these
opportunities and services.
