Weekly fishing reports
will resume in February.
Winter Fishing Tips
Crappie can be caught
using jigs and minnows around the edge of the cypress trees. Trolling in 6-8 feet of water outside the
trees using minnows is a popular method as well.
Largemouth bass can be
found around treetops extending into deeper water. Try slow fishing a jig or your favorite soft
plastics. Also, try flipping plastics or
spinnerbaits in and around the edge of the cypress trees.
Catfish can be caught on
worms, liver, or cutbait in and around the cypress trees or by tight lining in
open areas. Fishing with trotlines or
limb lines is a popular method as well.
