WHAT IS THE ROLE OF SUPPORT SERVICES IN CONSERVATION?
As with any organization, there are employees working diligently behind the scenes at the MDWFP accomplishing the administrative tasks necessary to carry out the Agency's mission. Without the support of staff in such divisions as Information Technology, License and Boat Registration, Accounting, and Human Resources, the MDWFP would not be able to deliver the technical, educational, public safety, and outdoor recreation related programs and opportunities for which it is most known.
Our mission, "to conserve and enhance Mississippi's wildlife, fisheries, and parks, provide quality outdoor recreation, and engage the public in natural resource conservation" would not be possible without the dedicated efforts of our support staff.
These personnel also support and assist the public by selling and processing hunting and fishing licenses and boat registrations. Web and printed resources like MDWFP.com, the Mississippi Outdoor Digest, and Mississippi Outdoors Magazine are made available to the public through the efforts of Support Services.
