MDWFP and Olive Branch Parks & Rec to Host a Youth Fishing Rodeo at George M. Harrison Municipal Park
JACKSON - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) and the Olive Branch Parks and Recreation Department will host a youth fishing rodeo at the George M. Harrison Municipal Park on Saturday, May 31. The fishing rodeo is open to youth 15 years and under; registration begins at 8 a.m. The George M. Harrison Municipal Park is located at 8700 Church Rd at the intersection of Hwy 305.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers.
Fishing rodeos offer a quality fishing experience for younger anglers in a controlled and safe environment. The rodeo ponds are well stocked with catfish to make it easier for participants to catch fish. This event is a great way for a family to spend quality time together.
