Museum to Host Pascagoula River Lecture on March 4

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks' Museum of Natural Science continues the First Tuesday Lecture Series on March 4, 2014 from noon until 1 p.m.  Becky Stowe, Terrestrial Program Manager for The Nature Conservancy, will present "Preserving the Pascagoula - Habitats and History."

Learn more about this iconic waterway, what makes it important, and the story behind its protection. Stowe will not only share the natural history of the river's diverse habitats and plant and animal residents, but will lead you through a journey of human use and occupation.   Stowe will also share some of her family's ties to the waterways.

The Winter/Spring 2014 First Tuesday Lecture Series is sponsored in part by The Nature Conservancy with funding by the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson.
