MDWFP to Dedicate Facilities at Roosevelt State Park
JACKSON - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks will hold a dedication ceremony on Thursday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at Roosevelt State Park near Morton.
The Alfreda Lodge will be renamed the Alfreda-Harris Lodge in honor of the late Carl E. Harris, Sr., who served as park manager from 1973-1999.
In addition, a plaque in honor of the late Representative Dick Livingston will be placed at the Livingston Performing Arts and Media Center. Rep. Livingston was a House of Representatives Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Committee member for 20 years and chairman for four years from 1996-2000.
