Road Maintenance on Pascagoula River WMA to Begin as Flood Waters Recede
JACKSON -As many local citizens are aware, recent heavy rains have resulted in the flooding of the Pascagoula River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) for much of the past two months. Many WMA roads were damaged and will need to be repaired when the water recedes. In the upcoming weeks, WMA personnel will be assessing the damage and begin making repairs.
To ensure the safety of WMA visitors, users should be aware that some WMA roads may be periodically closed due to flooding or until necessary repairs are completed. Visitors are encouraged to review the Pascagoula River WMA regulations for more information about road closures resulting from flooding.
