Native American Artifacts Program at the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center
JACKSON - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries,
and Parks North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center
(VEC) will host a NativeAmerican Artifacts Program on April 21,
2012. Conner Vick, a local expert on the Choctaw and Chickasaw
tribes and life-long resident of Enid Lake, will share his
knowledge of Enid Lake's history and the tribes that once lived in
the area. Program participants will inspect tools and artwork held
by the Choctaw and Chickasaw thousands of years ago.
The program is free with the price of admission: $2.00 for
youth ages 3-17, $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for adults
60 and over. The VEC is located at Exit 233 east off I-55. For more
