Sample Results
Test results are expected within 3-4 weeks of sample submission, and will be posted at
www.mdwfp.com/cwd. Hunters can locate their test results using the sample number
located in the top-right corner of the Biological Sample Tag/Receipt.
Site Contamination
Caution should be used when collecting samples to keep equipment clean and to prevent site
contamination. All carcasses and parts thereof may be disposed of by incineration or in a
Class I landfill. Tools should be sterilized after each site’s sample collections. Tools should
be placed in a 2% bleach solution (6 ¼ cups household bleach /gallon water) to denature any
prions that may exist.
