JACKSON – See Marty McFly’s shoes and hoverboard from Back to the Future II and Indiana Jones’ bullwhip from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade at MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science from July 20 – 30, 2018! “We’re excited to bring these iconic items to Mississippi,” says Museum Director Charles Knight.

These three items are on loan from Ripley Entertainment, Inc. along with a signed photo of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, in conjunction with the exhibit, The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!®, currently at the museum through September 9, 2018. These pop culture movie items will only be on display for ten days (July 20 -30, 2018).

The Back to the Future II sneakers were designed by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield in 1989 as a futuristic take on Nike shoes. The self-lacing sneakers were worn by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) when he time traveled to Hill Valley in the year 2015. The whip was used in multiple scenes of The Last Crusade, including when Indy rescued his father - played by Sean Connery - from the Nazis at Castle Brunwald.

The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not! ® presents an extraordinary collection of intriguing objects and astonishing artifacts from Ripley's Believe It or Not!®. The exhibition allows visitors to explore the real science behind the unbelievable - which is even more amazing than Robert Ripley's legendary compendium of oddities, anomalies, and fantastic feats.

The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® is produced by Science North. Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® is a registered trademark of Ripley Entertainment Inc.
