JACKSON – Celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends at “Wild About Gobblers” on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. – Noon at MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science! “This family-friendly event promises big, feathery fun and special activities for all ages,” says Charles Knight, Museum Director.

Meet live turkeys and a turkey vulture from Freedom Ranch Outreach Education, examine turkey feathers under a microscope, investigate egg anatomy, and learn how to conserve turkey populations with MDWFP’s turkey program coordinator Adam Butler!

“Wild About Gobblers” is included with museum admission: $6 for adults, $4 for youth ages 3-18, and $5 for senior citizens ages 60 and up.

Visitors may also explore the “In the Dark” exhibit and investigate the world of nocturnal animals, crawl inside a giant bat head, experience life as a termite, learn how bats use echo-location, and how some species have adapted to life in the dark.
