JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks urges all motorists to be on alert for deer crossing roads and highways more frequently as they seek higher ground due to widespread flooding primarily in the waters of the western Mississippi Delta near Mississippi Hwy 1.

Also, be wary of deer returning to their home ranges as water recedes.
