Continued heavy rainfall and above-average Mississippi River levels have resulted in flooding in the south Delta region of Mississippi. Effective December 9, 2019, Phil Bryant Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Goose Lake and Ten Point units will be closed to ALL activities except waterfowl hunting. While the Steele Bayou landside gauge reads 82.0’ or higher, waterfowl hunting will be allowed daily.

Missed hunts due to this closure will not be made up or offered at a later date.

At this time, the Mississippi River forecast does not show favorable signs for opening the deer hunts back up before December 22, however, if conditions improve, we will notify eligible hunters by email.
