OVERVIEW: We provide the materials; you provide the creativity!

Looking for something playful and unique to do for yourself or with your family and friends this fall? Want to promote your business to museum visitors and participate in a fun, team-building activity? Then, register now for our new “Build-A-Scarecrow Workshop”!

Your scarecrow will be displayed in the museum's native plant garden’s “Scarecrow Garden” through November 1, 2022 – giving museum visitors a fun, outdoor stroll!

You can take your scarecrow and sign home or to your business on November 2, 2022, to use as a fall decoration!

FEE INCLUDES: instruction by a museum educator on how to build your own scarecrow with our starter kit materials (rebar, plastic jugs and bags, bamboo poles, twine, pantyhose, straw, etc.), and a printed, laminated sign for your scarecrow. Note: Please bring your own clothes/costume/or other materials.

CAN'T ATTEND THE WORKSHOP?

Want to make a scarecrow, but can’t attend the workshop? Please email Denise to register by Noon on Thursday, September 22. A video and stuffing materials will be provided to you, showing you how to make your own scarecrow at home. Completed scarecrows can be placed in the native plant garden starting anytime from September 24 until October 1.
