Enjoy interactive, hands-on stations spread through the museum themed around our "Be the Dinosaur" exhibit. There will be crafts, investigations, and demonstrations from museum volunteers and special paleo-exhibitors suitable for families or groups with children aged 4 and up.
This Friday Dr. Anna Wan, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at The University of Southern Mississippi will be one of our special exhibitors. Dr. Wan will demonstrate how to locate 3-D printer files online and prepare them for print. Paleo-prints are useful teaching objects for classrooms studying ancient life.
“Seedster” artists from the Mustard Seed, a charitable organization dedicated to meeting the needs of adults with developmental challenges, will also be one of our special guests.
While you visit the many activities themed around our visiting exhibit “Be the Dinosaur”, stop to visit with the Seedsters to see how they create their wonderful art work, and how the museum’s fossil wall can be used as inspiration for still-life art.
Games, crafts, and investigations about #fossils are part of the fun every Friday in June and July from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Explore the "Be the Dinosaur: Life in the Cretaceous" exhibit, too! Included with museum admission. Members are FREE. Admission: $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children, under 3 are FREE.
