THE ROBOT ZOO
JANUARY 18, 2020 - APRIL 26, 2020

Explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work.

Machinery in the robot animals simulates the body parts of their real-life counterparts. Muscles become pistons, intestines become filtering pipes, and brains become computers.

  • See three larger than life animated robot animals
  • Try “Swat the Fly” - a test of their reaction time
  • Play “Sticky Feet” using special knee and hand pads to climb a slope
  • Trigger the “Tongue Gun” to demonstrate how a chameleon reels in its meals, and
  • Control the color and movement of the “Robot Chameleon”!

“The Robot Zoo” exhibit is a past winner of the Award for Outstanding Achievement from the Themed Entertainment Association.
