Mississippi State Parks invites you to start 2021 by connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike, while social distancing. First Day Hikes is a National Park Service event that occurs every New Year's Day.
Due to the pandemic, we will not be hosting any hikes as we have in the past years, but invite you to plan a self-guided hike with a friend or family. Remember to dress warm, wear good hiking footwear, snacks, and bring plenty to drink.
If you would like to tell us about your First Day Hike, please send emails to janice.scalf@wfp.ms.gov. Pictures are welcome also. The Entrance fee of $4.00 per vehicle is waived for this event.
Note: Due to the pandemic, Clark Creek Natural Area remains closed.
