Located just south of Meridian near the Mississippi-Alabama state line, Clarkco State Park has been a favorite Mississippi recreation spot since 1938. Situated on 815 acres of gently rolling woodlands, Clarkco State Park offers camping, cabin rentals, and water sports in a convenient yet unspoiled location, providing the perfect retreat for an afternoon or weekend getaway.

Developed Camping

Fourty-three sites are available for camping and feature
picnic tables, grills, and electrical, water and sewer hook-ups.
There are three bathhouses with hot showers and a central sewage
dumping station is located in the developed camping area. All sites
can be reserved by calling 1-800-467-2757.
Tent Camping
Fifteen tent camping sites are located just beyond the
developed camping area. Each site features a picnic table, fire
ring, and water is located nearby.
Vacation Cabins
Clarkco State Park features twenty air-conditioned units
accommodating two to eight persons, each furnished with bed and
bath linens and features a view of Clarkco Lake and has a private
pier on the water. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Vacation Cottage
Clarkco also features 1 vacation cottage that will sleep four people . The cottage is equipped with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom with 2 twin beds, the other with 1 queen bed and is fully furnished with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffee pot. Bed and bath linens are NOT included. The cottage has central heat and air coditioning and also features a porch with patio furniture, barbeque grill, picnic table and provides a scenic view of Clarkco Lake.
Campstore

A camp store offering grocery items and Mississippi souvenirs is
located in the Park lodge.
Visitor Center/Park Office
The lodge houses the park office; a camp store offering grocery
items, and Mississippi souvenirs, and a meeting room accommodating
100 people. Contact the park office for specific information on
facilities, seating capacity, and costs (601) 776-6651. An outdoor
amphitheater located on the park grounds is available for use at no
charge.
Picnic Area
Sixty picnic sites featuring tables, barbecue grills, and
playground equipment are located in a shaded area surrounding
Clarkco Lake.
Three large picnic pavilions are available by reservation. The pavilions provide the ideal spot for company picnics, family reunions, and church and school outings. Kitchen facilities may be reserved for a fee.
Nature Trail
A well-marked, five mile nature trail encircles Clarkco State
Park, affording a close look at Mississippi flora and fauna. The
trail is sectioned for shorter walks of less than a
half-mile. There is an observation tower at the uppper end of
the lake. Bicylces are permitted as long as they yeild to
foot traffic.
Playground
Playground equipment is also available at the park.
Playing Fields
A site for softball, baseball and other outdoor recreational
activities is availalbe.
Tennis
Two lighted tennis courts are available for day or night play.
There is also a basketball goal available.
Boat Launching
Clarkco Lake offers 65 acres of freshwater for fishing and other
water sports. A boat launch is available for persons with their own
boats.
Water skiing
Water skiing is permitted daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
(limited to 115 HP). No Jet-Skis Allowed
Fishing
Clarkco Lake offers 65 acres of fresh water for fishing and water
sports.The lake is stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. A
Mississippi fishing license is required for all persons between the
ages of 16 and 65. Licenses may be purchased at the park office.
Fishing License Information
Splash Pad

Zero depth cool water spray and splasing good fun for the entire
family. The splash pad is operated seasonally and is
open daily from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The splash pad is free
however the normal day use entrance fee
is charged.

Disc Golf
Offers a 9 hole disc golf course.
Day Use
A day-use entry fee is charged on a per vehicle basis.
