Golden Memorial State Park

Golden Memorial State Park memorializes post civil War with a one-room school once located on the site. The Park provides picnic tables, grills, 2 picnic pavilions, nature trails, 15-acre spring-fed lake stocked with bass and bream. The Loblolly Trail features the second largest loblolly pine tree in the state of Mississippi.

Park Events

Developed Camping
Eight new campsites are available for RV camping. Four of these campsites feature a patio deck with a lakefront view. All eight of these campsites are available for rental at the park and include water and electricity. A dumping station is located in the park.

Bathhouses with hot water and restrooms are located in the camping area.  Smoking is not allowed in any Mississippi government building.

Monthly camping may be available.  Please check with the park office for availability.

Cabins
Two new cabins are available to reserve. Each cabin consists of one full size bed (mattress is not included - please bring air mattress), two bunk beds (mattresses are not included - please bring sleeping bags), a ceiling fan with light, and screen windows with shades. Each guest must bring their own linen.  Smoking is not allowed in any Mississippi government building.

Tent Camping
Six tent decks are available with water for tent camping. Electricity is also available for use if the camper provides a 100'-200' extensiion cord.

Picnic Area/Pavilions
Two covered pavilions may be reserved for a fee, providing the ideal spot for family reunions, company picnics, and school or church outings. One of the two pavilions have restrooms. Each pavilion is available for picnics by reservations by calling 601-253-2237.

Picnic sites complete with grills are located throughout the park and many have affording lakeside views.

Nature Trail
A nature trail winds through the park memorializes post civil War and a one-room school once located on the site.

Playground
Playground equipment is also available on the park.

Fishing
A 15 - 16 acre spring-fed lake stocked with catfish, channel catfish, bass, and bream is available for visitors to fish at Golden Memorial State Park. A Mississippi Fishing License is required for all people between the ages of 16 and 65. For license information, please call the park office at 601-253-2237. There is no swimming allowed in the lake.
