The historic campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) is just 25 miles away, making Kyle State Park the perfect spot to spend a football weekend.

Developed Camping
John Kyle State Park offers 200 sites available for
developed camping. Sites feature picnic tables, grills,
and water and electrical hookups, bathhouses, laundry facilities,
and a central sewage dumping station all conveniently located in
the campground. Advance reservations are recommended and may
be made up to 24-months in advance.

Cabins
John W. Kyle features 20 air-conditioned cabins, furnished with
basic kitchen equipment, utensils, dishware and bed and bath
linens. All of the cabins are located near the water,
have a fireplace and accommodate up to four
people. Additionally, 2 villas are located
on the Golf Course. Each of these villas consist of 4 bedrooms and
a common room. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made
up to 24-months in advance. Detailed information on each can

Group Camp
There are two air-conditioned dormitories
available for groups. Meals are served cafeteria style in the
dining hall. Campers must furnish their own linens, towels,
pillows, soap and other personal items. Advance reservations are
recommended and may be made up to 24-months in
advance.
Pool (Seasonal) Pool closed for the 2012 season.
A swimming pool is located near the Family Cabin
area. The pool complex has shower facilities. The pool
is operated Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00
p.m.

Tuesday(s) each week, unless a
holiday falls on one of these days. A fee is
charged. Traditionally lifeguards are school aged and days of
operation will be dictated by school schedule (Inquire at Park
Office for any changes to normal days and hours of
operations).
Visitor/Activity Building
The visitor's center (Lodge) houses the park office, a large ball
room, and dining room that will accommodate 96, suitable for family
reunions, banquets, and luncheon meetings. Advance
reservations are recommended and may be made up to 24-months in
advance.
Golf
Mallard Pointe Golf Course
This picturesque Robert Cup design is located in the rolling hills
of Kyle State Park. The championship 18 hole course features
striking elevation changes and measures 7,000 from the back tees.
Also included is a large driving range and putting green in
addition to a practice course consisting of a par 3, par 4, and par
5. Mallard Pointe Club House is designed to provide those items
necessary to make your golf experience the best it can be. Daily
green fees or an annual pass is available with tee times being

Boat
Launching
Sardis Reservoir offers 58,500 acres of freshwater
for fishing and boating enthusiasts. Ramps are provided for those
who wish to launch their own boats. A fee is charged and payment
for boat launches must be made to the US Army Corp of
Enginers. A honor box system is used and is located at each
boat ramp area with instruction for payment and fee amount.
Alert: Sardis Lake water levels
are controlled by the US Army Corp of Engineers.
Generally the lake is lowered for flood control starting
on July 1 to January 1 and starts its rise back to recreation pool
level. Many boat launch ramps are inoperable during this time
however, there are always low water ramps on the lake that are

Fishing
Sardis Reservoir offers 58,500 acres of fresh water for fishing,
swimming, and boating enthusiasts. The lake is brimming with
catfish, crappie, bass, and bream. A Mississippi fishing
license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65.
Licenses may be purchased at the park office (licenses are cash
only sales).
