Visitors experience unmatched sailing, swimming, skiing, and fishing for Smallmouth bass in the sparkling waters of Pickwick Lake, and enjoy camping and exploring in the untamed wilderness along the banks of the Tennessee River.

Camping
The 69 sites available for RV camping feature picnic tables,
grills, electrical, water and sewage hookups.
Two bathhouses with restrooms along with hot showers are
avaible for campers use. All sites are available for advance
reservations and can be reserved up to 24 months in advance.

Primitive
Camping Area
J.P. Coleman offers 17 tent camping sites overlooking Indian
Creek. No grill, table or water is located on site. A
bathhouse is within walking distance located in the developed
campground for campers use.
Cabins
J.P. Coleman features 20 vacation one bedroom
duplex cabins, offering a view of Indian Creek.
Furnished beds, bath linens, TV (satellite
service), basic kitchen equipment, grill and picnic
table. All cabins are air conditioned and heated. Some have
screened porches. Four units have fireplaces with gas log
inserts. Cabins accommodate up to four people.
Reservations are strongly recommended and are accepted up to 24
months in advance.
Motel
Rooms
The motel features three luxurious townhouses and sixteen motel
rooms, two of which are handicap accessible. All rooms are equipped
with kitchen facilities and offer a view of the majestic Tennessee
River. Reservations are recommended and are accepted up to 24
months in advance.
Pool
The park features a 15 x 60 foot swimming pool and a kiddy pool. A
fee is charged. Pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day
10:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. The pool is closed Monday and Tuesday
of each week, unless a holiday falls on one of those
days.
Marina
Slips
Marina Slips available for monthly rental at J. P. Coleman may
feature water hookups only, electrical hookups may be available at
the renters expense. Slips are available up to 48-foot.
Currently the Daily Guest Slips are not available for
park guest use. Contact the park office for
availablility, current policy and rates.
Additional marina services include Fuel Sales for boaters needs and the dock area and Ice Sales from the park office. The marina fueling area is not staffed year-round and may be best to call ahead for park staff available to meet your needs at the fueling area. Public restrooms are available seasonally. Sewer dumping is available by calling the park office for available staff to assist in sewer pumping.
Visitor/Activity Building
A meeting room accommodating up to 150 people
is available. Contact the park office for specific
information on facilities, reservations, costs and local
caterers.
Picnic
Area/Shelter
Picnic Pavilion may be reserved for a small fee.
Miniature
Golf
A miniature golf course is open seasonally and is available to
groups by reservation year round. A fee is charged.
Boat
Launching
Pickwick Lake offers 47,500 acres of freshwater for fishing and
other water sports. A boat launch is available for persons with
their own boats. Entrance Fee is charged for Day Use
guest.
Fishing
Pickwick Lake offers 47,500 acres of fresh water for fishing and
water sports. The lake is brimming with crappie, bream, catfish,
sauger, walleye, and most species of bass. A Mississippi fishing
license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65
and may be purchased at the park office (cash only). Water skiing
is permitted, and a boat launching ramp is
available. For fishing licenses purposes please keep in
mind Pickwick Lake spans portions of three states.
