Crop: The field was planted to vegetable crops (peas, melons, tomatoes, etc.) that were harvested by the end of July. Strips of sunflowers were planted with an area of field corn also. The areas between the strips of sunflowers and corn where the vegetable crops were planted will be disked and planted to winter wheat prior to opening weekend.
