The Mississippi Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks state headquarters located at 1505 Eastover Drive in Jackson, Mississippi.  There will be an educational session at 8:30 A.M., followed by the business session at 9:30 A.M.  The meeting is open to the public; however, pursuant to Executive Order #1507, issued July 10, 2020, by Governor Tate Reeves, the following restrictions shall apply.

Public attendance at the Commission meeting shall be via remote electronic means – either by viewing the meeting on YouTube or Facebook Live.  Links to these broadcast media will be available at the department’s website, www.mdwfp.com, and will be activated approximately thirty minutes before the meeting.

For persons who have already sought and received approval to address the Commission, he or she may still address the Commission at the meeting, but access will be strictly controlled. Participants will have to wait his or her turn in the building lobby.  Proper social distancing rules and wearing of masks will be enforced while waiting. After making his or her presentation, the participant will leave the Commission room.  These same rules will apply to any individuals seeking reinstatement of his or her license to hunt, trap, or fish, and any MDWFP staff making reports or presentations to the Commission.  At no time should there be any more than ten (10) individuals in the Commission room, counting the Commission, necessary technical staff, and presenters.

Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated as we battle the COVID 19 pandemic while continuing to serve the people of the State of Mississippi during these difficult times.
