JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau has closed the boat ramp at Tippah County Lake near Ripley, MS. “We lowered the water level to make lake improvements this fall. Those improvements include building a new boat ramp and boat ramp courtesy piers, along with adding rip rap to prevent erosion along the shoreline,” said MDWFP State Lake Coordinator Jerry Brown.

The lake improvement project should be complete by December 2018 at which time the lake level will be allowed to return to normal pool. For additional information, please contact lake manager Jim Cutberth at (662) 837-9850.
