JACKSON – Believe It or Not!® ... it is here! MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will host the exhibition, “The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not! ®”, from May 19, 2018 - September 9, 2018. The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not! presents an extraordinary collection of intriguing objects and astonishing artifacts from Ripley's Believe It or Not!®.
The exhibition allows visitors to explore the real science behind the unbelievable - which is even more amazing than Robert Ripley's legendary compendium of oddities, anomalies, and fantastic feats. Measure up against Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man! See a calf with two faces, a Rolls Royce made of matchsticks, and a portrait of Einstein made of toast, plus experience some of the world's most perplexing optical illusions!
“We are excited to bring this fantastic exhibition to the museum and we have planned a summer full of related special events such as Believe It or Not® Fun Fridays, Bizarre Bazaar, and Curiosity Days!” says Museum Director Charles Knight. On opening day, visitors can also experience the “Get Your Feet Wet” event featuring a “back stage look” behind PBS’s “Jim Henson’s Splash and Bubbles” television series.
