One night, one ticket, two museums!

Online ticket sales are closed, but tickets will be available at the door of both museums during the event.

Enjoy spooky science and family fun at "Park After Dark" hosted by MDWFP's Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Children’s Museum!

Create creepy crawly crafts, go trick-or-treating through both museums, and enjoy the evening’s activities while wearing your costumes at this spook-tacular event.

  • Celebrate fall festivities in a safe and fun environment.
  • Visitors of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes!
  • Bring a flashlight or two!

COST:

  • Tickets are $10 for both MMNSF Members and Non-Members.

PARKING:

  • Park at either museum.
  • Overflow parking is available at the former LeFleur’s Bluff golf course parking lot off Lakeland Drive and the northbound righthand lane of Museum Boulevard where you can use the sidewalk to safely access both museums.

TRAVEL BETWEEN MUSEUMS:

  • Walk safely between both museums using the new Spotter’s Adventure Trail for a trick-or-treat experience amongst luminaries, our delightfully ghoulish volunteers, and the 120 pumpkins that connect the two museums! Then, wrap up the evening with special entertainment at The Den.
  • A shuttle will also be available for free transportation between museums.

ACTIVITIES AT MDWFP'S MS MUSEUM OF NATURAL SCIENCE:

Halloween is the season, but Space is the theme!

The "SPACE: A Journey to Our Future" exhibit has inspired us to boldly go into SPACE as our theme for Halloween - think Astronauts, Star Wars, Star Trek, Men In Black, Dr. Who, and Buzz Lightyear!

Special activities include:

  • Alien Autopsy (a giant game of Operation with a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater alien) in our Area 51
  • Space Scarecrow photo opp
  • The Galactic Bean Bag Toss Game
  • Alien Species Round-up
  • Building Straw Rockets, and more!
