See, touch, and learn about live snakes with our experts. Discover how to distinguish venomous snakes from non-venomous snakes in our herpetologist’s one-hour presentations at 10 a.m. and 12p.m.

Live snakes will be exhibited with experts on-hand to answer your questions from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Crafts and activities about our favorite reptiles are ongoing from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This is a family and Scout-friendly event. Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi will earn the MMNS Snake Day Patch and Boy Scouts will meet several requirements for the Reptile and Amphibian merit badge.

$6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children ages 3 and up. Under 3 are FREE. Museum Members are FREE.

Painted Faces will be here, too (not included with admission).

Face painting prices (cash, credit card, venmo, or PayPal accepted):

  • Glitter tattoos or snake arm design $5
  • Medium face paint designs $6
  • Large full face paint designs $8

You can also see the museum’s famous two-headed snake and explore other oddities in the exhibition, “The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!®” (included with museum admission).
