Snake Day Lectures: De-mystifying Mississippi Snakes
1 hour presentations at 10 a.m. & Noon
Learn the value of our native snakes and how to distinguish venomous species from non-venomous ones. Live snakes will be exhibited and experts on-hand to answer your questions after each lecture.
Crafts and activities about our favorite reptiles are ongoing from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This is a family and Scout-friendly event. Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi will earn the MMNS Snake Day Patch and Boy Scouts will meet several requirements for the Reptile and Amphibian merit badge.
Included with museum admission. Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Members are FREE.
