Buccaneer State Park Closed in Preparation for Tropical Storm Barry

JACKSON – Due to Tropical Storm Barry Buccaneer State Park, including Buccaneer Bay Waterpark, is closed until further notice. The storm is causing high winds and water surges that make it unsafe for the public to stay at the park. Campers have been evacuated at this time.
Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks will continue to monitor the storm and notify the public when the park is reopened and safe for visitors to return.
