JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) is cooperating with Responsive Management to collect game harvest information from the 2017 – 2018 hunting seasons. Responsive Management is a survey research firm specializing in natural resource and outdoor recreation issues based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. They will be conducting random phone surveys of licensed hunters. This update is a courtesy to inform recent hunting license holders that they may be contacted by surveyors with Responsive Management to ask questions related to game hunted and harvested. This will be a harvest-related survey with no opinion questions.

The survey began June 11, 2018 and will continue for about two weeks until a predetermined sample size is reached. This information is used by MDWFP to monitor trends in hunting participation and game populations. MDWFP thanks cooperators in advance for their participation in the survey.
