The museum's hands-on preschool Discovery Room is a tiny space with big ideas, designed especially for children ages 3 through pre-kindergarten 5. Here children can climb a tree, play with puppets, visit animal habitats, and listen to captivating stories under the guidance of experienced and inspirational preschool education staff.
Winter Camp is a partial day camp designed just for inquisitive and active minds ages 3 - 5 (campers must be potty trained). Space is limited to 15 campers so register soon!
Each day we will be on the museum grounds hiking, exploring, meeting live animals, and creating fun crafts. We will learn about wintery science topics including snow, ice, and animal hibernation. In a guided and creative setting, children discover how exciting and fun the great outdoors can be even during winter!
CAMPERS MUST BE FULLY POTTY TRAINED. The museum will provide a morning snack. If you want to send an additional snack with your child, pack NUT FREE SNACKS (i.e. NO PEANUT BUTTER, ALMONDS, TRAIL MIX WITH NUTS, NUTELLA, OR ITEMS MADE IN A FACTORY THAT PROCESSES NUTS.)
OF NOTE: Please have children wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather as we will be OUTSIDE on the museum's trails for a few activities.
