The LeFleur Museum District (LMD) invites you to attend a special STEM-themed festival!

Join experts and special guests from science-based industries across the state for a special day of hands-on experiences for children and families at all four museums in the LeFleur Museum District (LMD):
- MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science
- Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum
- Mississippi Children’s Museum, and the
- Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum
This event will entertain and spark curiosity and excitement about science. This year’s event welcomes four exciting special guests at each museum to provide a FUN perspective on STEAM:
- 10 a.m. - “Science of Skating” by JXN Roller Derby featuring neuroscientist and skater, Dr. Liz-Engler Chiurazzi at Mississippi Children’s Museum
- 11 a.m. - *“Science in Your Own Back Yard” by Magician Tommy John at MDWFP's Mississippi Museum of Natural Science
- 1 p.m. - “Science of Flight” in Ag Aviation at Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum
- 2 p.m. - “Science of Play” by Magician Dorian LaChance at Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum
*Award-winning magician Tommy Johns presents "Science: Magic in Your Own Backyard", a fun-filled magic and puppet show that brings science to life in fun and funny ways! Tommy and his puppet friends will take us on an imaginary adventure to discover the science that is all around us!
