Want to get out of the house for a fun and family-friendly, socially-distanced activity? Go on a scavenger hunt for Noel, the museum’s Christmas squirrel, on your next visit!

Noel, the museum’s six-inch-tall plush squirrel, is ready to bring holiday cheer to all the museum’s guests. He’s a little naughty. He’s a little nice. And, you never know where he will be!

A clue about Noel’s upcoming location will be posted to the “Where’s Noel?” Facebook Event page whenever he’s on the move. Noel will move his “selfie spot” location twice each week.

Find Noel and post a photo with him in the comments section of the “I’ve Moved” posts and get entered into a weekly prize drawing for a special winter ornament. You’ll also be entered into a grand prize drawing for one 2021 Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Family Membership. The grand prize drawing will take place on January 1, 2020. We’ll notify weekly and Grand Prize winners on FB messenger.

Each time Noel moves and you share your selfie with him in his new location, you’re entered for a chance to win that week’s ornament prize, and for a chance to win the grand prize. And since Noel moves twice each week, you have two times to enter each week!

Social distancing measures, timed arrival reservations, and face mask requirements are in place to help you have a safe visit.

Note: We hope you enjoy searching for Noel. Please note that this is an activity and not an event.
