Get ready for a one-of-a-kind professional development experience that benefits both educators and their families! Project WILD: WILD Teaching for WILD Minds is a dynamic, nature-based workshop designed to help teachers strengthen student learning and retention, especially when it comes to standardized testing, by using the power of the outdoors. During this engaging workshop, teachers will discover hands-on strategies for incorporating nature into everyday instruction. These research-based techniques are designed to boost student engagement, improve comprehension, and support long-term retention of key concepts across subject areas.

Bring Your Kids Along!
We’re making it easier to attend by welcoming your children (grades 1st–6th) to join you for the day! While you participate in the workshop, your child(ren) will be led by a conservation educator and camp counselors through a fun-filled day of nature exploration, games, and interactive learning activities at the museum. Teachers may bring up to 2 children each (1st–6th grade).

This is the perfect opportunity to grow professionally while your children experience a summer day at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. Come ready to get outside, get inspired, and bring back practical tools that will make a lasting impact in your classroom!
