Location: Mississippi Museum of Natural Science
Join Pacesetter Gallery artist Keri Davis at the Museum of Natural Science for an amazing animal and painting experience!
Keri Davis will teach you how to paint the feathered heads of our feathered friends! With over 25 years experience in teaching art, you will learn some new skills and connect with the animals in this unique event.
Paint class tickets include entry to the museum where you will enjoy a special presentation by Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center featuring live birds, then paint one of these amazing, rescued birds and animals!
A second painting session featuring a Red-Tailed Hawk will take place at 12:30 p.m. Come for one or come for both, tickets are sold separately at $25 per session. You will be amazed at the show, these majestic creatures, and be inspired by the painting class! Great for ages 10 and up.
SCHEDULE:
- 10 am: Wildlife Show begins in the theatre
- 10:30 am: Head to the painting room to create Hitch the Crow (who is quite the talker by the way ...)! During the painting session, Hitch will pay us a visit and let us know just what he thinks about our paintings of him! Metallics techniques are used to create that blue/purple shine of the crows feathers.
