Lake Lincoln

Lake Lincoln is a 550-acre lake located in Lincoln County, east of Beauregard, MS at Lake Lincoln State Park. The lake opened in 1965 and was renovated in 2000 to repair the valve stem. Since reopening in 2002, the lake has produced good numbers of bass and crappie. Brush piles are the main form of habitat.

Fishing Report - Updated 04/30/2026

BassFishing has been good.  Focus fishing effort with soft plastics in darker colors.  Big bass should key in on glide bites and flukes near the main channels.  Also look for structure near deep drop-offs.  Fish should slowly come out of their spawning behavior as temperatures continue to rise.
Crappie Fishing has been good.  Focus fishing effort with smaller jigs or minnows.  Look for structure and do not be afraid to use a spray-on fish attractant.  Look for depth changes and schools of baitfish.  
BreamFishing has been fair.  Focus fishing effort near vegetation with small beetle spin or fish using redworms, nightcrawlers, and crickets.
Catfish Fishing has been fair.  Focus fishing effort on the bottom with red worms, liver, and other stink baits.

Lake Regulations

  • Only rod and reel or pole fishing is allowed on State Park Lakes. No trotlines, set lines, jug fishing, or commercial gears are permitted.
  • Sport fishing licenses and fishing permits are required. 
  • Night fishing (from 30 minutes before sunset to 30 minutes after sunrise) will be permitted from the shore or from boats which are in compliance with State and Coast Guard regulations. Only idle speed and trolling motors may be used at night.
