Fishing Report

SpeciesDetail
BassSurface water temperature was recorded to be 72°F with a water clarity of 30". The recent rain has impacted the bite with only a few bass being caught this past week, but the ones that were caught were in the 12" to 16" range and weighed between 3/4lbs to 2 1/2lbs. Anglers had the most success using spinnerbaits and plastic worms in the shallows. If the bites are slow, try using shakeyhead trick worm or Texas-rigged soft plastics.  Any woody debris should hold a few fish.
BreamThe bream bite has been good, with anglers catching the most bream near the beds. Anglers have been catching bream in the 5" to 9" range and weighed between 6oz to 18oz. The best bait to use right now are tightlining redworms and crickets.
CatfishThe catfish bite has slowed down this past week with anglers only catching a few fish. Nightcrawlers have been the best bait to use recently, but tight lining crickets, minnows, and chicken liver are also good choices to use. Any woody debris should be fished thoroughly.
CrappieThe crappie bite has also slowed down recently with anglers only catching a few fish. Anglers that have success were using jigs around brush tops and submerged structure.
