Species | Detail |
---|---|
Bass | The bass bite is fair, but the bite is not as consistent as it was in previous weeks. Anglers are catching them with live minnows and spinner baits. Try targeting the creek channel and laydowns on the deeper banks adjacent to the channel. Soft plastics, Alabama-rigs, rattletraps, spinnerbaits, and shakeyhead worms are all good options. Topwater lures are successful early in the morning and late in the evening. |
Crappie | The crappie bite is fair, but slowed down. Anglers are targeting the brush along the creek channel. Targeting structure will be the best location to find the fish especially in shallow areas where fish may be moving to feed and spawn. Jigs or jig/minnow combinations will be the best bait choices. |
Bream | Bream fishing has been slow recently. Tight lining with worms or crickets is the best bet, particularly when the bream are not bedding. |
Catfish | No reports from anglers catching catfish. Target the creek channel and around the deeper points with night crawlers, cut shad, and/or liver. Tight lining is the most popular technique for catfish. |
