The Mississippi Outdoors crew meets up with Private Lands Biologists from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks to learn how wildlife is managed on private property across the state. With more than 80% of Mississippi’s wildlife habitat located on private land, these relationships are critical to conservation success.

The crew also speaks with Hinds County landowner Bruce Brady Jr., who shares his experience participating in the program and explains what happens during a site visit. The Private Lands Program provides free technical guidance to landowners looking to improve wildlife habitat, manage game species, and make informed land-use decisions. Landowners can apply for a site visit through MDWFP.
