JACKSON, MS - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) wants to inform the public of the reopening of Tombigbee State Park in Tupelo and Leroy Percy State Park in Hollandale, effective Friday, February 6, 2026. Park reservations for both parks are now open.
The following facilities remain temporarily closed at this time: Wall Doxey State Park, J.P. Coleman State Park, Tishomingo State Park, George P. Cossar State Park, Hugh White State Park, John W. Kyle State Park, Tippah County Lake, and McIvor Shooting Facility.
Widespread power and water outages, combined with significant safety concerns involving downed trees and debris, have necessitated complete closure of these facilities to protect the public and staff. MDWFP will continue to assess the situation daily and notify the public of any further cancellations or extensions.
