The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) is excited to announce that Wolf Lake located in Yazoo and Humphreys Counties will reopen for fishing and boating on Tuesday, June 3 at 6:00 am.
Wolf Lake, a 1,000-acre oxbow of the Yazoo River popular for crappie and catfish anglers, was closed in April 2025 due to flooding and high water -- this order was pursuant to the authority of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, as authorized by the Commission.
