Trim Cane WMA

Trim Cane is located in Oktibbeha County near Starkville. From Starkville, take Hwy 389 north out of Starkville for 4 miles; headquarters building and permit station are on the left. If you have any questions regarding Trim Cane call (662) 272-8303.

Standby Opportunities Update:

Due to unknown and potentially dangerous weather and travel conditions, Waterfowl Draw Hunts on Charlie Capps, Howard Miller, Muscadine, Mahannah, Trim Cane, and Tuscumbia WMAs will only be open to pre-drawn hunters and their hunting party on Saturday (January 24) and Monday (January 26). There will be no stand-by opportunities. Pre-drawn waterfowl hunters will need to check in and check out of the WMA either using the MDWFP smartphone app or the paper WMA user cards. All other WMA regulations for individual areas will still apply.
