The Mississippi Wild Turkey Stamp plays a role in both hunting and habitat conservation. Established for the 2026 spring season, the stamp ensures a dedicated funding source that supports projects for managing and protecting wild turkey populations, improving habitat on public and private lands, and advancing research and monitoring to sustain hunting opportunities for future generations.

Every purchase of the Mississippi Wild Turkey Stamp provides direct, dedicated funding for wild turkey conservation across the state.
Funds from the stamp support:

The Mississippi Wild Turkey Stamp is required for all hunters 16 years and older—residents and nonresidents—hunting wild turkeys in Mississippi, on both private and public lands.
The following hunters are exempt from purchasing the stamp:
Hunters who are exempt from purchasing the Wild Turkey Stamp will still need to obtain a free Exempt Turkey Game Check privilege in order to complete harvest reporting requirements.
